SURF INSPIRATION

Surf is one of the most inspiring things for me in the summer, not because I practice it myself (by the way, I'd love to try it) but for other reasons. First of all, from the fashion side, I love that carefree style but totally cool – jeans, tee's, boho tops, shorts and millions of bracelets and necklaces. The second reason, and quite important for me, is that surf invites to work out as a lifestyle. I don't mean working out as an obligation to go to the gym and do some crunges and squats, but rather to make of it a daily routine, like eating, and thus making it become something your body asks you for – that's my case. The pictures of today's post incites you to go swimming, running on the beach, playing in the water and for those who are really lucky, surfin', paddle boarding or water-skiing. Una de las cosas que más me inspira en verano es el surf, no porque yo lo practique (aunque me encantaría probarlo) sino por otros motivos. El primero, desde el punto de vista de la moda, me encanta ese estilo despreocupado pero tremendamente cool, vaqueros, camisetas, tops boho, shorts y millones de pulseras y colgantes. Pero también creo que incita a algo que para mi es muy importante, y es el ejercicio como estilo de vida. Es decir, no como una obligación de ir al gimnasio y hacer algunas abdominales, sino incorporarlo a tu vida como una rutina más como el comer y que se convierta en algo que te pide el cuerpo y te llena de buen rollo, como es mi caso. Y ver fotos como las que os enseño hoy incita a hacer de las cosas más divertidas del verano, nadar, correr por la playa, jugar a las palas, juegos en el agua y los más afortunados y afortunadas deportes como el surf, paddle board o el esquí acuatico. Eso si, tampoco se trata de rescatar las mochilas de loneta de nuestra época de cole, busca alguna de cuero, con flecos o con estampado étnico y triunfarás! Espadrilles for this Summer

Hello everyone! I want to show you an upcoming trend for this summer – flat espadrilles. I know, it is not a brand new thing, espadrilles have always been worn. In fact, my summer shoe-rack is almost completely taken by them year after year. But this year’s innovation is introduced by Valentino, who brought to the catwalks some espadrilles with an ancient-roman look, which were very attractive, and that I’ve only been able to find in Mango’s catalogue and in Zara yet (they are very very similar to Valentino’s – see pics below).

There is another style seen everywhere these days – espadrilles with no laces around the ankle. A big fan of this trend is Alessandra Ambrosio, but other celebrities and bloggers wear them too. The model we see the most is Chanel spadrilles. I post some models of different brands in case you like them. If I had to choose, I'd pick "Castañer", my favourite brand for espadrilles. Hola a todos! Hoy os quiero hablar de una de las grandes tendencias para este verano, las alpargatas planas. Sí, ya se que no es ninguna novedad y que las alpargatas se han llevado siempre, de hecho en mi zapatero veraniego forman casi un monopolio año tras año. Pero este año la novedad la trae Valentino, que mostró en la pasarela unas alpargatas inspiración romana de lo más atractivas y que yo de momento sólo las he visto muy muy parecidas en el catálogo de Mango y en Zara, como os muestro abajo. Pero hay otro estilo que se ve por todas partes y es sin cinta en el tobillo. Una de las grandes seguidoras de este estilo es Alessandra Ambrosio, pero también las llevan otras famosas y muchas blogueras, destaca el modelo de Chanel. Os dejo algunos modelos de distintas marcas por si os gusta alguno. Yo me quedo con Castañer, mi marca favorita para alpargatas, tengo miles de pares, aunque soy más de su versión con cuña, ya lo iréis viendo ;). Que tengáis un día genial! Muchos besitos!
 

Put a furry bug on your handbag!

Today I wanna talk to you about a new trend to garnish our handbags - to put a furry bag bug on. Many trend-setters have already joined this style. The first one that may draw your attention is Olivia Palermo (couldn't be anyone else), one of the first ones to wear it, either to walk down the street or to attend a show in London like some days ago.

Hoy quiero hablaros de una nueva tendencia para adornar nuestros bolsos, colgarle un "bicho" de pelo. Muchas son las trend-setters que ya se han apuntado a este estilo. La primera que puede llamar vuestra atención es Olivia Palermo, que no podía ser de otra manera, ha sido de las primeras en llevarlo, tanto para pasear por la calle como hace pocos días para asistir a un desfile en Londres.

Where does that trend come from? In his 13-14 fall-winter collection, FENDI filled the runways with furry bag bugs, and that was the starting point. We even saw fur in shoes, something Olivia Palermo wore these days too. But FENDI repeated style in its 2014 spring-summer show, i.e. the upcoming season.

De dónde viene esta tendencia? FENDI en su colección otoño-invierno 13'-14' llenó la pasarela de colgantes de pelo en los bolsos y ese fué el punto de partida. Vimos incluso pelo en los zapatos, algo que Olivia también ha lucido estos días. Pero FENDI repitió tendencia en su desfile primavera-verano 2014, es decir, esta temporada que viene ahora.

But Olivia Palermo has not been the only one, many others are crazy about FENDI's "furry bugs", like international blogger Chiara Ferragni, or the fashionist Anna Dello Russo, even Cara Delevigne.

Pero Olivia Palermo no ha sido la única, muchas otras están locas por los "bichos peludos" de FENDI, como la blogger internacional Chiara Ferragni, o la fashionista Anna Dello Russo, incluso Cara Delevigne.

And what about all this for next year? Well, FENDI has kept to this trend in its 13-14 fall-winter collection. Perhaps this time it has not been so focused in handbags, but rather in the wrists, where we have seen many furry wristbands. The show was closed down by Cara Delevigne, who carried an even more striking puppet in her hand! A furry Karl Lagerfeld designed to be hanged. And in the front row of such show, many showed up with these hanging "little bugs". So it seems, next season we'll still see some of this.

Y que será de esto para el año que viene? Pues FENDI ha vuelto a tratar esta tendencia en su colección otoño-invierno '13'14. Esta vez quizá se ha notado menos en los bolsos y más en las muñecas, donde hemos visto muchas muñequeras de piel. Pero el desfile lo clausuró Cara Delevigne llevando en su mano un muñeco todavía más llamativo! Un Karl Lagerfeld peludo, pensado para colgarlo en el bolso. Y en el front row del citado desfile, muchas acudieron con estos "bichitos" colgantes. Así que parece que el año que viene seguiremos viendo esta tendencia.
